Four new members join Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing Board of Trustees
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – Four new members have been appointed to the board of trustees of Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Robbie Guard, Ann Sprengel, Angela Umfleet, and Gayle Unverferth will each serve three-year terms on the college’s board.
Robbie Guard is the market president of MRV Banks in Cape Girardeau. Ann Sprengel is a retired professor emeritus of nursing from Southeast Missouri State University.
Angela Umfleet is the owner and executive producer of Arnold Insurance. Gayle Unverferth is a retired certified registered nurse from Mercy Hospital Southeast.
The board of trustees develops policies to maintain and build academic programs, support faculty and staff, and ensure compliance with national accrediting body standards.
Robbie Guard said, “I’m honored to join the Board of Trustees… Health care education is vital to our community’s strength.” Ann Sprengel said, ”
After 34 years as a nurse, I believe I still have more to give to the nursing community.” Angela Umfleet said, “I’m eager to explore innovative growth strategies to enhance educational programs and community outreach.”
Gayle Unverferth said, “I want to contribute and give back to the profession that has given me so much.”
