Franklin County authorities arrest man in connection with business thefts

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged with two counts of theft in connection with incidents at two businesses.

Ryan P. Nalley, of McLeansboro, was taken into custody Wednesday with the assistance of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a theft at Payne’s Service Station in Thompsonville on Jan. 17. During the investigation, authorities identified Nalley as a suspect and discovered he was also linked to a theft at Ace Hardware in rural Benton on Jan. 15.

Nalley was charged with one count of Class A misdemeanor theft and one count of Class 3 felony theft.
