Fredericktown police capture attempted murder suspect

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo., (KBSI) — The Fredericktown Police Department arrested an attempted murder suspect from Bollinger County on Monday morning.

At approximately 8:20 a.m., police received information about a “stop and hold” order for the suspect.

Officer Smith later spotted a vehicle matching the suspect’s description traveling westbound on Highway 72 East.

Smith conducted a felony traffic stop and apprehended the suspect without incident.

The suspect is being held pending transfer to the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.
