Fredericktown pool to remain closed for season due to staffing shortage
FREDERICKTOWN, Mo., (KBSI) — The City Pool will not open for the season due to the city’s inability to hire and train a pool manager in time.
The pool manager is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility, including overseeing lifeguard management, safety protocols, scheduling and concessions.
Without a qualified pool manager, the city cannot guarantee the high standards of safety and service expected by the community.
The closure will allow the city to conduct much-needed maintenance and repairs, ensuring the facility is in better condition for future seasons.
The city will begin accepting applications for a pool manager and assistant manager for the 2026 summer season.
Interested applicants can pick up an application at City Hall.
