Fredericktown to hold public hearing on downtown transformer replacement project

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo., (KBSI) — The City of Fredericktown will hold a public hearing to review the completed Downtown Substation Transformer Replacement Project.
The hearing is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. before the Board of Aldermen meeting on May 26 at the Fredericktown Police Department, 1237 W. Highway 72.
City officials will discuss the project’s performance and funding. The project involved replacing the downtown substation transformer located in the alley behind Park Drive.
According to the city, the project cost $138,115.65. Funding included a $30,000 city contribution, $3,984.65 in in-kind labor provided by city employees and $104,131 from the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Community Development Block Grant Program.
Residents and community groups are encouraged to attend and provide input.
