Fugitive arrested in Eldorado after multi-agency search

ELDORADO, Ill., (KBSI) — A local fugitive wanted in connection with multiple burglaries was taken into custody Friday following a coordinated effort by area law enforcement agencies.

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Aaron A. Hargett was arrested in a wooded area of Eldorado after officers acted on information about his location. Hargett is wanted on charges related to several burglaries and is a suspect in numerous others.

The Sheriff’s Office and Eldorado Police Department thanked the public for recent tips and information that helped lead to Hargett’s capture.

Authorities reminded the public that Hargett is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
