Fulton man arrested on multiple charges after fleeing from deputies

FULTON, Ky., (KBSI) — A traffic stop by the Ballard County Sheriff’s Office and the River County Drug and Voluntary Crimes Task Force resulted in the arrest of a Fulton man on multiple charges.
Jeremy Puckett, of Fulton, was taken into custody after fleeing from deputies in a 1990 GMC pickup truck. Puckett, who refused to stop for deputies, drove off-road and through residential yards, striking a task force member’s patrol vehicle before wrecking his own vehicle in a ditch.
Puckett then fled on foot before being apprehended. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Puckett was transported to the Ballard County Detention Center, where a search by jail staff found an additional 4 grams of methamphetamine on his person.
A search warrant was executed at Puckett’s residence in Fulton, resulting in the discovery of more methamphetamine, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Puckett is facing charges including trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, fleeing or evading police, assault on a police officer, criminal mischief and wanton endangerment of a police officer.
