Funeral arrangements announced for fallen Sikeston officer Henry Franklin

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri Law Enforcement Funeral Assistance Team has announced the line-of-duty death of Sikeston Department of Public Safety Officer Henry Franklin, who died Oct. 6, 2025.
Service Information:
Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Minor Baptist Church, 416 South State Route H in Sikeston, Missouri.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the same location. Full law enforcement honors will be rendered at Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery, 1201 South Kingshighway in Sikeston.
The procession route from Minor Baptist Church to Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery will travel south on State Route H to East Malone Avenue/U.S. 62 West, then west along East Malone Avenue to South Kingshighway Street. Citizens wishing to show their support for Officer Franklin’s family and the Sikeston Department of Public Safety are encouraged to gather along East Malone Avenue.
Out of respect for the family, media access will not be permitted on church, cemetery, or funeral home property. Due to planned low-flying aircraft during the service, the area will also be considered a no-fly zone for aircraft and drones.
