Funeral services planned for two children after Perryville fire

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Funeral arrangements have been announced for two young children who died in a deadly fire in Perryville.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 19, for 1-year-old Dekon Kimbrell and 2-year-old Dalila Kimbrell, both of Perryville. The children died Thursday, Dec. 11.
Dalila was born Oct. 8, 2023, and Dekon was born Dec. 11, 2024, in Perryville to Tammy Reed and Donald Kimbrell, who survive.
Survivors also include their maternal grandfather, Virgil (Shauna) Reed of Perryville; maternal grandmother, Beth Brewer of Perryville; paternal grandfather, Vernon Meister of Farmington; maternal great-grandmother, Shirley (Michael Sr.) Reed of Perryville; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Lee Kimbrell of Arnold; two brothers, Dexter Kimbrell and Leo Oakley, both of Perryville; three aunts, Chasidy Reed, Abbie Reed and Kasie Reed; two uncles, Shawn Brewer and Joseph Reynolds; and a great-aunt, Linda (Brad) Shad of Perryville.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Ford and Young Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Friesz officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery in Perryville.
