GCHS Beta members earn top honors at state convention

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Members of the Graves County High School Beta Club attended the state Beta convention last month, with several students earning top honors.
The National Beta Club is an honor society that promotes academic achievement, leadership, service and character in students from grades 4-12.
Three GCHS Beta members placed in the top 5 in their respective categories: Natalie Ellis, a junior, took third place in psychology; Ashley Leco Medina, a freshman, placed fourth in Spanish; and Lucy Baldwin, a senior, earned second place in science.
Baldwin also won fifth place in the Senior Division II group for her drawing.
These students have qualified to attend the national Beta convention in Orlando, Florida, this summer.
