General Mills expands in Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. (KBSI) – General Mills Hannibal location is expanding.

The manufacturing facility in Hannibal, is creating more than 35 new jobs.

The company’s expansion includes the addition of an Old El Paso hard-shell taco production line, increased square footage, and infrastructure improvements. 

“General Mills’ expansion in Hannibal is another example of our state’s status as a prime destination for world-class manufacturers,” said Governor Mike Parson. “This company’s more than 50-year presence in northeast Missouri speaks to the region’s ability to support quality employers and drive economic growth.

General Mills’ manufacturing facility in Hannibal produces food products across multiple categories and brands, including Nature Valley, Betty Crocker, Old El Paso, and Progresso.

The company’s Hannibal location has been in operation since 1972 and has undergone multiple expansions to now employ more than 1,000 people.

New jobs added as part of General Mills’ expansion will pay an average wage well above the county average.
