Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day on Broadway in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Are you feeling lucky? Well, you should be. El Kolibri Coffee and Curiosities is getting ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Broadway.

Americans love having a reason to celebrate with a tasty beverage and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception.

At El Kolibri located off Broadway Street in the Indie House, we find how to make the traditional Irish coffee.

“You have to wait until this settle, you don’t want any movement going on here, so once it settles you use the back of the spoon to ease the whip cream, so it doesn’t sink and mix. Coffee and shortbread have been my to-go for many years,” said Karla Cornelius, owner of El Kolibri Coffee and Curiosities.

It’s a simple use of espresso, your favorite coffee, Jameson Irish whiskey or zero proof whiskey and topped with cream, the simple but delicious drink will make for the right start to your St. Patrick’s Day.
