“Get your popcorn ready” WWE, The Street Profits coming to Cape Girardeau
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – When WWE invades the Show-Me Center on June 11, Angelo Dawkins and the rest of the superstars will make sure to provide a good time.
“Get your popcorn ready,” Dawkins said. “A lot of superstars are going to come out and get ready to put on a show and let you guys enjoy it, be a part of the fun, kick it, you know what I’m saying.”
Fans may know Dawkins by his nickname, “The Curse of Greatness,” which he said came from his dominance in a popular video game.
“I just kept beating people in Madden and stuff,” he said. “It’s just like, dang, I’m not even trying, like it’s just a curse. I’m not even trying to beat y’all this bad. I’m sorry, I’m just cursed. I can’t lose when the controller’s in my hands. Then I just turned that into wrestling.”
Dawkins is one half of the tag team duo The Street Profits, with Montez Ford.
Of course, a title is on their minds, but in the end, it is about entertaining the masses.
“Our journey is to get back to the tag team gold, get that gold around our waist, and go out there and put smiles on everybody’s faces, partying up and bringing the smoke like we always do,” Dawkins said. “Show-Me Center, couple weeks, June 11, you know what I’m saying. Get your popcorn ready. We’re gonna be bringing the smoke to y’all.”
