Gilbertsville man arrested on multiple charges after traffic stop

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A traffic stops on US-60 West on Thursday led to the arrest of a Gilbertsville man on multiple charges, including driving under the influence and drug possession.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Zackary Dunigan initiated the stop at approximately 1 p.m. After suspecting the driver, 66-year-old Anthony Wallace, of operating the vehicle under the influence, a search was conducted.
Authorities said the search yielded a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and unprescribed pills identified as a controlled substance.
Wallace was taken into custody and charged with careless driving, DUI, possession of marijuana, two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance not in its proper container.
He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
