Girl Scouts partner with SEMO Basketball for 573 Day community event

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland will partner with Southeast Missouri State Redhawks for a special community night during Redhawks basketball on Jan. 15.
The event, known as 573 Day, will take place at the Show Me Center and will feature both women’s and men’s basketball games against conference rival Lindenwood Lions. Girl Scouts, along with their families and friends, are invited to attend and take part in special activities, including designated seating and a high-five tunnel.
Tickets for the doubleheader are available through a special link, with $5.73 from each ticket purchase benefiting Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland.
“This is a unique opportunity to support and celebrate Girl Scouts in Cape Girardeau and surrounding areas with SEMO Basketball,” said Sara Crane, director of entrepreneurial programs and funding for Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland. “We are grateful for the support of university athletics and look forward to continuing this partnership.”
The women’s game tips off at 5 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15.
