Golconda Shrimp Festival celebrates 25 years Saturday

GOLCONDA, Ill., (KBSI) — Main Street Golconda will host its Shrimp Festival from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at 206 E. Main St.
The event will feature food, craft vendors, T-shirts, a children’s area, a beer tent, live music and a cornhole tournament.
The cornhole tournament begins at 11 a.m. The children’s area will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a petting zoo available from noon to 3 p.m.
Live music will begin at 11 a.m. and continue throughout the festival. Family Soul will perform from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the Cat Daddy’O Blues Band from 3 to 6 p.m. Darla’s Crush will close the festival with ’80s and ’90s party music from 7 to 10 p.m.
The festival is celebrating 25 years in Golconda. No tickets are required.
