Golf Tournament raises money to help feed community

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Friends of Saint Francis Golf Tournament was held on August 16 at the Dalhousie Golf Club.

Nearly 250 golfers and 50 volunteers were in attendance.

Funds raised from the tournament go to feed hungry children both regionally and locally with donations to food banks and feeding programs including Clearwater Ministerial Alliance, Charleston Blue Jay Pantry, Sikeston Bulldog Pantry, Tiger Bites Summer Feeding Program, Jefferson Backpack Program, Jackson R-2 Power Packs and more.

Winners of the morning championship flight were sponsored by Southern Bank.

Winners of the morning “B” flight were sponsored by Fresh Healthy Cafe.

Winners of the morning “C” flight were sponsored by Hillyard.

Women’s Closest to the Pin winner on Hole 8 was Taylor Kohlfeld.

Male Closest to the Pin winner on Hole 11 was Andrew Gilstrap.

Women’s Long Drive winner was Tori Pierce and Men’s Long Drive winner was Luke Small.

Winners of the afternoon championship flight were sponsored by Cape Radiology Group.

Winners of the afternoon “B” flight were sponsored by Dr. Justin Bain.

Winners of the afternoon “C” flight were sponsored by Metro Lighting/Metro Electric.

Women’s Closest to the Pin winner on Hole 8 was Bobbi Palmer.

Men’s Closest to the Pin winner on Hole 11 was Jackson Bailey.

Women’s Long Drive winner was Janice Lumsden and Men’s Long Drive winner was Josh Parham.
