Gov. Beshear tours Mayfield’s new Public Works facility, marking progress in tornado recovery

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Governor Andy Beshear toured the new Public Works Facility in Mayfield today, marking a significant milestone in the city’s recovery from the devastating December 2021 tornado.

The facility is the first municipal building to be completed since the disaster, which destroyed every municipal building in the city. The visit highlights the progress made in rebuilding the community, with several other projects underway, including a new city hall and police station
