Graves County declares state of emergency due to flooding
MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Graves County Judge/Executive Jesse Perry declared a state of emergency Friday due to severe flooding caused by excessive rainfall.
The declaration, made under the authority of Kentucky Revised Statutes 39A.100, enables the county to execute its Emergency Operations Plan and mobilize local resources to respond to the disaster.
Under the declaration, Perry is authorized to waive certain procurement requirements and formalities to expedite the county’s response efforts.
