Graves County Sheriff’s deputies investigating theft of multiple road signs

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Graves County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the theft of multiple stop signs and road signs.
The Graves County Road Department reported numerous stop signs and road signs were stolen throughout Graves County.

Missing stop signs and other road signs can delay first responders from getting to scenes quickly. Missing signs can also cause vehicle crashes for those driving on roads they are not familiar with.
Anyone in possession of any state, city or county road signs can be charged with a misdemeanor offense of receiving stolen property.
Deputies with the Graves County Sheriff’s Office request people to report anyone stealing or attempting to steal road sign by calling the sheriff’s office at 270-247-4501.
