GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Graves County woman was arrested Monday morning after allegedly leading deputies on a high-speed pursuit on Kentucky Highway 131.

According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Austin Caldwell observed a 2005 Honda Civic being driven erratically at approximately 10:30 a.m. June 22.

When Caldwell attempted a traffic stop, the driver allegedly accelerated to speeds exceeding 95 mph while traveling southbound on the highway. The pursuit continued for about three miles before the driver lost control of the vehicle in the 5200 block of Kentucky 131, spinning out and leaving the roadway.

Deputies identified the driver as Jill Adeen Corcoran, 52, of Graves County.

Authorities said Corcoran was under the influence of alcohol, and deputies located a three-quarters-empty bottle of vodka in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.

Corcoran was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, speeding 96 mph in a 55 mph zone and other traffic-related offenses.

She was initially transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center before being transferred to an out-of-county detention facility.

The charges are allegations, and Corcoran is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
