Green Bear Project hosts event to promote child abuse awareness

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) – The Green Bear Project is hosting its 4th annual “A Day in the Park with Green Bear” event on April 26, 2025, at Cape County Park South.

The event aims to promote awareness of child abuse prevention programs and National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The free event will feature various organizations and vendors, including the Safe House of Southeast Missouri, SEMO Pets and the Cape Girardeau Public Library.

Activities will include a coloring contest, free snow cones and hotdogs.

The event is open to the public and runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
