Groundbreaking held for new police department in West City

WEST CITY, Ill. (KBSI) – Several people gathered for a groundbreaking for a new state-of-the-art police department in West City on October 9.

Construction will begin next week at the intersection of West Webster Street at South Central Street.

This new building will replace the current department that was once a school built in the 1950s.

The police force thanked Mayor Ron House and the West City Village Board.

The project is set to be completed in late February 2024.
