KENTUCKY (KBSI) – Drivers traveling on Interstate 24 in western Kentucky should expect temporary lane restrictions Friday as crews complete guardrail repairs.

According to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1, a contractor plans to implement intermittent lane closures June 26 between mile markers 52 and 60, weather permitting.

The work will take place at various locations from Lyon County into Trigg County, between the I-24 work zone near mile markers 45 to 50 in Lyon County and Exit 65 at U.S. 68/KY 80 in Cadiz.

Temporary lane restrictions may be in place in either direction as needed to safely complete the repairs.

Motorists are encouraged to watch for signs, slow down and use caution while traveling through the work zone. The repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day Friday.
