Hardin man facing drug charges after traffic stop in Calloway County

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Hardin man faces drug and other charges after a traffic stop in Calloway County on Wednesday.
Benjamin Hollis, 61, of Hardin faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influnces of substances (first offense), failure to maintain insurance, failure to register motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, first offense (methamphetamine).
Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on Charlie Miller Road around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20.
The driver, Hollis, was believed to be manifestly under the influence of substances, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies say was also in possession of illicit drugs which is a Class D felony.
Hollis was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
