Hayti firefighter competes in Firefighter Challenge Championship Series

HAYTI, Mo., (KBSI) — Hayti Fire Department’s Firefighter Blake Irions recently competed in the Firefighter Challenge Championship Series in Hoover, Alabama.

The event, known as the “toughest two minutes in sports,” pushes firefighters to their physical limits. Irions described it as the most challenging physical test he has ever completed.

Irions said he was honored to represent his community and compete against firefighters from around the world.

The Hayti Fire Department expressed pride in Irions’ performance, saying he did an outstanding job.
