Hazel man arrested on drug, weapons charges during warrant service

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Hazel man was arrested Sunday night on drug and weapons charges while deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant at a residence, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were attempting to execute a warrant around 10:30 p.m. on Stateline Road East when they made contact with Donald Galloway, 69.

Authorities said Galloway was found in possession of drugs and paraphernalia consistent with trafficking.

A criminal history check showed he had multiple prior felony convictions and was in possession of handguns, deputies said.

Galloway was taken into custody and lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center.

He is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, 2 grams or more), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
