Hazel man arrested on firearm charge while deputies serve warrant

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Calloway County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested a Hazel man late Monday while attempting to serve a warrant.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies went to a residence on Brandon Road about 11:30 p.m. Jan. 12 to serve a warrant on John R. Thomure, 49. Deputies located Thomure and determined he was in possession of a firearm.
Thomure was taken into custody and lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a Class D felony, and violation of conditional release on a Caldwell County warrant.
All charges are allegations, and Thomure is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
