Hazel man facing drug charges after traffic stop

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Hazel man faces drug charges after a traffic stop in Calloway County.
Garnie B. Scott, 33, faces charges of prescription controlled substance not in proper container 1st offense, posession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense-drug unspecified (Class D felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 641 near Steely Lane on Saturday, November 4 around 4 a.m.
The driver was found to be in possession of a Schedule II narcotic that he did not have a prescription for, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
Scott was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
