Head-on crash turns into DUI arrest in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A head-on collision turned into a DUI arrest.

Brendan Ellegood, 26, of Mayfield faces charges of DUI, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree – cocaine and possession of marijuana.

Graves County Sheriff’s deputies say the crash happened near Kentucky Route 80 and Central Road just south of Mayfield on June 7.

Deputies say Ellegood was traveling northbound on Central Road and hit a car in front of him at a stop sign.

Deputies say they noticed suspicious odors coming from the car where they found marijuana and cocaine.

Ellegood was taken to an out-of-county facility.
