Heat through the weekend
Upper 90s and lower 100s are expected Friday and Saturday, which is well above average. We drop a little by Sunday, but I’m still expecting highs in the middle 90s. Precipitation is going to be hard to come by all the way through next week.
Friday starts off very warm and is almost to 90 by 9am. We will see a high very close to 100 degrees by the afternoon.
Because of the heat and humidity, there is a Heat Advisory and Excessive Heat Warning in place Friday into Saturday. A heat index near 110 is expected in the warning area and near 105 in the advisory area.
Actual temperatures are going to be hot by themselves. Upper 90s and lower 100s for highs are expected.
Most of us will see the 70s for a dewpoint.
That will give us a heat index well into the 100s.
Without any recent rains and the excessive heat, mosquitos won’t be too much of an issue.
We do cool off briefly early next week, but warm right back up as August makes it’s way in. Stay cool out there!
