HARRISBURG, Ill., (KBSI) – Heaven’s Kitchen is celebrating seven years of serving the community and announced plans to relocate to a new home this fall.
The nonprofit, which began as a weekly meal kitchen and has since provided thousands of meals and grocery bags to local families, transitioned into a full weekly food pantry in May. Leaders say the organization continues to grow its outreach.
In mid-to-late October, Heaven’s Kitchen will move into a new location at 404 Seright Street in Harrisburg, in a building owned by New Hope Christian Academy and adjacent to its main campus. The move marks the beginning of a new partnership between the two organizations.
A free community block party will be held to celebrate the transition, with details to be announced.
“We are grateful for the past seven years and excited to begin this next chapter,” the organization said in a statement.
