Hefner Furniture & Appliance celebrates 100 years of service to Southeast Missouri community

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Hefner Furniture & Appliance is celebrating a century of excellence in home furnishings, customer service, and family legacy.

Founded in 1925 by J.A. Hefner in Qulin, MO, the business has grown into one of Southeast Missouri’s premier furniture and appliance retailers.

The company has been family-owned and operated for four generations.

Slug Hefner, who took ownership in 1991, led the company’s expansion to five locations in Poplar Bluff and Farmington.

Under his leadership, Hefner Furniture has been recognized nationally, appearing in industry publications such as Furniture Today and Furniture Who’s Who.

Fourth-generation manager Fathom Hefner-Riffle continues the family tradition, overseeing daily operations with a commitment to excellence.

The company is hosting special anniversary sales, community events, and giveaways throughout the year to celebrate this milestone.
