Herrin man facing drug charges in West Frankfort after traffic stop

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces drug charges after a traffic stop early Wednesday morning in West Frankfort.

Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 149 around 1:34 a.m. on March 27.

Diego D. Nevith, 49, of Herrin was identified as the driver.

Deputies determined Nevith driving privileges were suspended. He was was arrested.

They searched the vehicle and deputies say they found methamphetamine and other drug releated paraphernalia.
