Herrin police investigating suspicious death

HERRIN, Ill. (KBSI) – Herrin police are investigating a suspicious death after the body of a male was found early Monday morning.
The body was found in the early morning hours of April 17 in the 100 block of South 12 Street.
Herrin Police are on scene and being assisted by the Williamson County Major Case Squad, Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office, and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators.
“The crime scene is contained to a single location and there does not appear to be any further threat to public safety,” said Herrin Chief of Police David Dorris.
