Hickman man facing drug, firearms charges after sheriff’s deputies search home

(KBSI) – A Hickman man faces drug and gun charges after Fulton County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a home for illegal drug trafficking.
Maurice Thorpe of Hickman faces charges of trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces) second offense, two counts of felon in possession of a handgun, receiving stolen property (firearm), trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd or greater offense (more than 4 grams of cocaine), and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
Sheriff’s deputies obtained a search warrant for a home in Hickman.
Deputies searched the home on October 31 and found crack cocaine, two handguns one of the two being entered in the national database as stolen out of a neighboring state, approximately one ounce of marijuana and a sum of currency along with other items, according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Multiple agencies assisted during the investigation.
