High school students participate in Read Across America

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI)- Today, Cape Central High School athletes participated in Read Across America Day by reading to students at Alma Shcrader Elementary.

We talked with one teen who got to read to students a book about football.

Paul Tran, a Cape Central High School Sophomore says, “It was a lot of fun, I got to see the look on their faces, when I looked through the pages, and show them how to play football and stuff.”

Read Across America advocates for education professionals to unite and prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and independent world.
