Businesses in downtown Cape Girardeau distributing 2023 Christmas ornaments

CAPE GIRARDEAU Mo. (KBSI) – Historic businesses are now distributing Old Town Cape’s 2023 limited addition Christmas Ornaments.

Old Town Cape Inc. has announced its 27th addition to its series of holiday Ornaments called “The Christmas Tree Lighting”.

With only 378 produced this year, the novelty items can be found at eight historic establishments within Cape Girardeau’s downtown business district.

Kent Zickfield, who is owner of Zickfield’s Jeweler and Gifts, happens to be one of the eight business owners who currently distribute the ornaments to the community.

“Each one of the ornaments celebrates something in the downtown business district,” said Zickfield. “They had ornaments that celebrate the clock and various businesses.”

The decorative pieces highlight both historic locations in downtown Cape Girardeau, as well as traditional events.

The limited addition items are now available for purchase at; Old Town Cape, CP McGinty Jewelers, Hutson’s Big Sandy Superstore, Jayson Jewelers, Pastimes Antiques, Shivelbine Music Store, and Visit Cape.

The 2023 Christmas ornaments can be purchased for $30 with a stand or $25 without.
