House damaged in Dexter fire, no injuries reported

DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire Tuesday morning in Dexter.

According to the Dexter Fire Department, crews were dispatched at approximately 7:50 a.m. to a home in the 700 block of Southeast Main Street.

When firefighters arrived, the house had sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. Officials said the attic also suffered significant damage, requiring ventilation operations.

The Dexter Fire Department responded with Pumper 2, Pumper 3, Pumper 4 and Aerial 2.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
