Human remains found in shallow grave on Broyles Ave

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office says human remains were discovered Tuesday afternoon in a shallow grave on a property on Broyles Avenue after several months of investigation into a possible burial site.

Detectives located the remains while processing the area. The site is being treated as a crime scene, and officials are awaiting the arrival of a forensic anthropology team to properly excavate the remains.

The sheriff’s office said there is no threat to the public. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
