1 injured after semi overturns on Hwy. 61 near Fruitland

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – One person was injured in a crash after a semi truck overturned on Highway 61 in Cape Girardeau County near Fruitland semi truck overturned Wednesday morning.

The driver of the truck has serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, according to responders at the scene.

The truck ran off the road and overturned into a creek.

Hwy. 61 was shut down while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
