Hwy ZZ in Sikeston shut down after crash, broken gas line

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash in Sikeston at north US 61 and Highway HH.

It happened south of SAHEC campus.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area due to fire and police personnel blocking the road.

Emergency crews are working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, Liberty Utilities and Tow Services to clear the wreck and repair a broken gas line.

MoDOT is shutting down Highway ZZ from Rose Parkway to US 61. The estimated closure time could exceed 3 hours if not longer.
