I-24 westbound in Lyon County blocked after multi-vehicle crash

LYON COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Lyon County 911 Dispatch reports a multi-vehicle crash blocking Interstate 24 westbound on the Cumberland River Bridge at 33 mile marker in Lyon County.

I-24 have heavy westbound traffic Monday morning as visitors head to the path of the Total Solar Eclipse.

The estimated duration of this blockage is unknown, according to Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Westbound drivers on I-24 may detour around this blockage via the U.S. 62 Eddyville-Kuttawa Exit 40 Interchange to U.S. 62 West to return to I-24 at Calvert City Exit 27.
