SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (KBSI) — The Illinois Department of Transportation is asking residents to share their opinions on the state’s transportation system through its annual Traveler Opinion Survey.

The online survey is available through Tuesday, Aug. 11, and is being conducted in partnership with the University of Illinois Springfield.

According to IDOT, the survey helps the department gather feedback on a variety of transportation topics, including road conditions, snow and ice removal, planning priorities and electric vehicles.

The agency said the public’s responses will help guide future transportation planning and improve services across Illinois.

The Traveler Opinion Survey has been conducted annually since 2001. Previous survey results are available on IDOT’s website.
