Illegal garbage dumping causes death of cow in Graves County, KY

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – The Graves County Sheriff’s Office is investigating illegal garbage dumping that led to the death of a cow.

A landowner reported it to the sheriff’s office in early November. Someone had dumped trash off of Cardinal Road near Interstate 69.

Two suspects that are responsible for dumping the garbage in this cow pasture field have been identified as charges are in the process of being filed, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

Cattle belonging to the property owner had gotten into the garbage. Some cows ate some plastic causing sickness and death in at least one cow, according to a local veterinarian.
