Illinois DCFS to promote foster care, employment at Du Quoin State Fair

DU QUOIN, Ill., (KBSI) — The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) will have a presence at the 2025 Du Quoin State Fair, where visitors can learn about becoming foster parents or working for the agency.

DCFS representatives will be on hand to share information about foster care, adoption and guardianship, as well as job opportunities within the department.

The agency will also host the 40th annual Foster and Adoptive Family Picnic on August 23, which will include a picnic lunch, discounted parking and admission, and fingerprinting services for current foster caregivers.
