Illinois man starts initiative to show support to the people of Israel
(KBSI) – The Israel Hamas war continues, and civilians are left to pick up the pieces in uncertainty.
As the war rages on in Israel civilians have come together to be there for each other.
Carey Smolensky is the founder of the Shalom Passion Initiative.
This initiative supports the people of Israel after the terror attacks on October 7.
Smolensky is from Illinois, but he has strong roots to Israel, and is currently showing support for the country.
“People are living their lives here, and in a beautiful way,” said Smolensky.
Smolenski says the people there are continuing to live their everyday lives and show love and support for each other, despite differences.
At the moment, Hamas is intentionally hoarding valuable resources and preventing humanitarian aid to destroy the israeli state.
Smolensky provided a camping shower and helped cook meals for the military.
“Where do you find these innocent civilians that are being taught from the time that they can first watch tv to watch a sesame street style cartoon about how to kill a Jew or to hate Jews or to learn to kill as many jews as possible and then you make your parents proud?” Smolensky asked. “It’s not just about getting away from HAMAS its a generational culture.”
Smolenski says that the people of Israel stand with each other and support one another.
They hang on to the hope of tomorrow even as the war continues.
“These are peace loving people who were brutally attacked in the midst of living and loving life,” he said.
