Illinois State Police identify body found in Mattoon Lake

ILLINOIS (KBSI) – Illinois State Police have identified the person whose body was recovered from Mattoon Lake as 38-year-old Dalewayne Turner of Plainfield.

The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigations Zone 8 said it is no longer seeking additional tips from the public in the case. Investigators also said there is no threat to the public.

State police thanked the public for its assistance and said additional updates will be released as they become available.
