Illinois woman arrested in hit-and-run incident involving 14-year-old girl

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — Investigators with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run incident that injured a 14-year-old girl.
Carley J. Sanders was taken into custody on Monday after investigators located her vehicle, which had fresh damage to the passenger-side mirror. Sanders admitted to striking something with her vehicle at the time and location of the incident.
Sanders has been cited with several charges, including:
– Leaving the scene of an injury accident, a Class 4 felony
– Failure to report an injury accident, a Class 4 felony
– Failure to render aid in an injury accident, a Class A misdemeanor
– Expired driver’s license, a Class B misdemeanor
– Failure to report a crash to police authority
