Indiana man arrested after stolen vehicle recovered in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — An Indiana man was arrested Monday after Carbondale police recovered a stolen vehicle reported out of Russiaville, Indiana.
A City of Carbondale police officer located the stolen vehicle around 12:56 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of West Pleasant Hill Road.
Police said the vehicle was unoccupied when it was found. Investigators identified the suspect as 48-year-old Michael T. Agee of Lafayette, Indiana. Agee later returned to the vehicle, where officers took him into custody.
Agee was arrested on a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Jackson County Jail.
The vehicle was impounded pending notification of its owner.
The investigation remains ongoing. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
